Diggin for what???

Last night we were in the midst of our getting to bed rituals when the normal routine was interrupted. I was brushing Genevieve's teeth when I noticed a slight gleaming in her right nostril. At first I just thought she had a snotty nose, no big deal, but my mind kept telling me that this was not normal snot. So I looked again to discover she had inserted a lovely purple bead into her nose. I started laughing and asked her what in the world she had put in her nose. She couldn't think what could be in there, of course. So then I said there is a bead in your nose, why did you put that in there? "I don't know." When did you put it in there? At which she tells me she put it in while watching a movie, the day before. She had that thing shoved in there for two days!! I had noticed her messing with her nose during the day and told her to grab some toilet paper and wipe it...if I'd only known. So Dr. Sean pulled out his otoscope to get a real good look at it then tried getting it out with tweezers, which pushed it back further. We kept telling her to blow it out which finally got it close enough to the edge that I was able to pop it out like a zit! ha ha

I know, every kid has to put something up there nose or in their ear...hopefully we just won't have any repeats. ha ha

Yikes! My Matthew stuffed a mint up his nose a few months ago. I wish we had a Dr. Sean to pull it out! Or, rather, squeeze it out! haha! Glad she's ok!

That is hilarious...it is such a kid thing...why? James stuck a red skittle up his nose about three weeks ago... I had to get it out like you did with the bead. KIDS!

Alexander did this with a berry off a bush when he was two. Tweezers kept puskhing it back, so I plugged his other nostril and blew into his mouth (like the full on CPR way) and it came out! Gross, but helpful. :)

Will did the same thing two weeks ago. I was on my way to the bathroom to get the tweezers for the retrieval, and luckily he sneezed and shot it out just in time. Yep, all covered in snot too.
